Ethan Thayer was born into music. He grew up on jazz, funk, and classic rock and roll. When he was around 2-3 years old he began fooling around on his older brother's drum set. He latched on pretty quickly, replicating rhythms he saw and heard.
In elementary school, he started taking lessons with Sean Rogan, owner of You Rock! School Of Music, and quickly graduated to one on one study with a professional jazz drummer and percussionist Charles Kalajian. He studied with Charles for 5-6 years.
Meanwhile, at the You Rock! School of Music, he joined a band that became Security Cats and has been with them since. In seventh grade, he placed first in All-State and joined the All-State Jazz band that year. He also spent two years in jazz combos at the Philharmonic Music School and got to experience a year with the Philharmonic Big Band as well.
Ethan loves all kinds of music, including, funk, swing, Latin, modern jazz, and of course classic rock. He loves playing shows with Security Cats and can't get enough music.

Carter Wolf is a junior at Cranston High School East. He began playing the keyboard when he was 10 at a local music school called You Rock School of Music.
He joined Security Cats in fifth grade and began to sing and play keyboard, but after a year or two he realized it was the bass that he was interested in. He began taking lessons and got a bass and an amp for Christmas.
From then on, bass was his main instrument, although he has played guitar as well for some other bands.
Although he’s been in multiple bands, Security Cats has always been the root of his passion in music.
